Russian journalism has always been a tribune of public opinion and therefore is not subject to oblivion. This book contains articles on different stages of its existence - from the time of Elizabeth Petrovna until the revolution of 1905-1907. It presents such the largest editions as the "Bulletin of Europe" M. Stasyulevich, and so unfairly sunk into oblivion, like the "Russian wealth" N. Savich. In the book, the reader will find portraits of editors and publicists of the past, among whom were many women: M. Vernadskaya, M. Tsebrikova, E. Bartenev, A. Simonovich, V. Serova.
The book is addressed to students studying the history of the Russian press, as well as all those who are interested in the past of our country
