Before you is the fourth volume of the translation of the 26th edition of the fundamental guide "Cecil's Therapy," which for nearly a century has been one of the most important and significant books on therapy worldwide. The Russian-language edition of the guide is published for the first time.
The guide covers a wide range of issues on various conditions and nosological forms, contains basic modern information on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases encountered in the practice of therapists and specialists from other medical fields: cardiology, dermatology, infectious diseases, endocrinology, neurology, urology, psychiatry, geriatrics, pulmonology, gastroenterology, otolaryngology, hepatology, rheumatology, gynecology, etc. The edition is executed under the scientific editorship of leading experts in collaboration with specialists from the First Saint Petersburg State Medical University named after acad. I.P. Pavlov. The text of the guide has been revised for use in the Russian Federation and supplemented with comments based on clinical recommendations and other regulatory documents adopted in our country.
Most chapters contain review questions, allowing the guide to be used as a textbook. The edition contains over 1800 illustrations (most of them in color), hundreds of tables, charts, and diagrams, as well as QR codes that lead to additional sources of information and bibliography.
