The theory of choice explores the logic of decisions on the sequential actions of the individual, explains what it means to act rationally. In this book, the rationality of actions is investigated in various contexts: for example, in the course of a decision on whom to conduct the rest of life with (let"s call this in a certainty), or about whether to agree to the operation, if it is known that in twenty -five percent Cases of such surgical intervention ends with death (choice in conditions of uncertainty with specified probabilities), or about whether it is worth traveling with an airplane in a century of terrorist threats (choice in conditions of uncertainty with non -disposed probabilities) In another context, this may be, for example, the need to decide where and how to store money (a special case of decision -making regarding funds) or - on a global scale at the level of the head of state - how to develop the country"s nuclear potential, knowing that the same thing is conceived and thoughtful The heads of other states (strategic choice), or how to use the relative advantages of various voting systems (group choice)
