The collection of dictations is designed for teachers of high schools of general education schools, lyceums, gymnasiums, as well as on the universities. Texts of teacher dictations can also use both didactic material.
Each dictation is accompanied by a comment in which the volume of dictation (the number of words) is indicated, its spelling and punctuation content: the basic rules encountered in the text. The name of the punctuation rule (or rules) occurring in the text of the dictation more often than others is scored in bold.
Dictates in the collection are located on thematic sections reflecting the Russian punctuation system. The location of dictations within each section is given on the principle of simple to more complex, which will allow the teacher not only to choose the text of the appropriate difficulty, but, in case of need, once again return to one or another punctuation rule.
Dictation texts are taken from the works of Russian classical and modern literature (with the orientation of the school curriculum), from memoir literature, as well as from the works of Historian V.O. Klyuchevsky and literary critic Yu.M. Lotman.
In the collection, some words are interpretable - mostly obsolete and dialects
