This book includes all the most significant works of the modern philosopher Robert Adams in philosophical theology. The author considers the metaphysical aspects of the religious faith, the relationship of religion and ethics in the context of the concept of God. God, according to the philosopher, is not an idea nor the object of our experience, it is noumen, the thing in itself, the existing and possessing properties regardless of our thinking. As such, God remains inaccessible to our theoretical knowledge, we are not able to prove nor existence, nor even something more than the formal opportunity.
