"The Book of Veles" is a unique monument of ancient Slavic writing from the 9th century AD, a compilation of the oldest laws, household rules, worldview, and history of our ancestors. The text, carved on wooden planks, covers a two-thousand-year history of migrations of Slavic-Aryans, reflects their religious-philosophical worldview, interactions with other peoples.
This edition presents an original interpretation of ancient texts by Valentin and Yulia Gnatyuk, which are presented for the first time in parallel, "line by line" with a modern translation. The authors have restored the rhythm of the original, which allows one to feel the impact of ancient rhythmic prose, created a Dictionary of "The Book of Veles", and provided the texts with detailed explanations and comments.
