The Linitsky family dynasty of illegal operatives is a unique phenomenon in the history of Soviet and Russian intelligence. The author is the first to use previously unknown documentary sources from the mid-20th century, as well as materials from the Linitsky family archive. Excerpts from diaries, letters, and dedications convey the atmosphere of the difficult life of the main character and his family members. Of particular admiration is the fact that he became the leader and educator of three generations of illegal intelligence operatives. The book is of interest to historians as well as a wide range of readers.
