For a long time, the failure of the operation and the death of the 2nd shock army of the first formation were associated exclusively with the name of its former commander of Lieutenant General A.A. Vlasov, who changed military duty. The published documents highlight the goals and objectives of the operation, the course of hostilities and the causes of the tragedy that played under the meat Bor in June 1942.
