A full sense of tenderness, soft irony, a novel about family, meetings and farewells, losses and gains, but above all - about love and loyalty to loved ones.
Young rebel Rosa disappeared, her younger sister Clara spends her days by the window, hoping to see her return. The girl watches as an unfamiliar man enters the neighboring house. Clara knows perfectly well that a lonely Elizabeth lives in the house, who is currently in the hospital. Clara promised her neighbor to look after the house, and most importantly - the remaining tenant, a cat named Moses.
The story is told from three points of view: Clara's, Elizabeth's, and Liam, who moved into the house - shifting the focus from one hero to another, revealing new layers of dramatic events, past and present, love, bitterness, attachment, and alienation. Wonderfully written, slightly disturbing and very human novel, which lacks raging passions, but has many sincere and deep feelings.
