Even in ancient times, people went on long journeys and opened unknown lands. Many of these wanderings were performed on foot, but more and more daredevils brought ships into the sea, dreaming of knowing a huge world. The era of great geographical discoveries came: the sea powers, longing for wealth and striving for the conquest of new spaces, were looking for a sea path to Asia. Then the explorers rushed in search of unknown southern continents and fairy -tale countries full of gold. They made amazing discoveries, as a result of which different cultures learned about each other
