The basic information about modern Wi -Fi wireless networks has been set out and the phased design of wireless networks is shown - from performance planning and the action zone to the deployment and testing of the network. The IEEE 802.11 standard is considered in detail, including access to the environment, as well as the physical level 802.11. The features of the radio frequency spectrum, the principles of modulation are described, the options for specifications 802.11, technologies for increasing productivity and protection mechanisms are given. The client’s connection to the wireless network in infrastructure mode is considered in detail - scanning, authentication and association methods, as well as issues of data security on wireless networks (WEP, TKIP, CCMP, WPA, WPA2, WPS) A wireless communication line assessment and an example of calculation are given. The theoretical provisions presented in the training manual are supplemented by laboratory work on all topics considered in the book. The publication contains an extensive glossary.
