The fantasy genre differs from science fiction in its attachment to folklore. Unlike a fairy tale, it has a certain logic of events, invented and clearly structured by the author. Nothing happens 'by a fish's command,' nothing goes beyond the boundaries of the developed concepts. Everything has a beginning and an end, causes and consequences.
