The textbook is developed in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard for General Education, approved by Order of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation No. 286 dated May 31, 2021. The textbook forms a holistic view of the world based on the child's own experience. This is facilitated by studying the connections in nature and society, the concentric arrangement of educational material, allowing to gradually expand and connect students' perceptions of the world, a system of tasks aimed at reviewing the material learned before each new topic, the use of not only reproductive but also productive creative tasks aimed at developing skills to use acquired knowledge to understand and explain the surrounding world. The textbook for the 2nd grade expands the boundaries of explained life experience, includes indirect experience obtained from books and media. The local history approach allows each student to learn about their homeland, learn to work with literature and the Internet.
