The work investigates the dialectical and formal-logical patterns of the process of forming reliable results of mental and practical activities of authorized subjects of criminal procedure proof. The process of proof in criminal cases is considered as a substantial logical process. The dialectical and logical aspects of the formation of the conclusion about the circumstances of the crime were investigated. The difference in logical reliability and substantial reliability is justified. The study of the dialectics of thinking that makes up the integral side of the process of proof made it possible to form a holistic concept of substantive logic of proof, which reflected not only the formal logical constructions used in evidence, but also deep dialectical processes of the development of the content and form of evidence, their confirmation and refutation of the system Evidence in the process of their collection, verification and evaluation, as well as the formation of the substantial reliability of the final conclusion in the criminal case.
