The essays collected in the book "The Struggle for Europe" by the German author Hauke Ritz were written between 2008 and 2020 and document the approaching catastrophe in German-Russian relations. The author primarily analyzes the interests of the West that underlie the conflict with Russia. According to the philosopher Ritz, the collision of interests is caused not only by geopolitical competition but also by the struggle for the future direction of European culture.
The book provides an interesting interpretation of global events, revealing the interconnections between technological progress, geopolitics, and cultural policy. In addition, the materials presented reflect the political struggle in Germany, which is therefore not discussed in the German mainstream media and remains insufficiently covered in Russia.
