The textbook is written in accordance with the program and training system in the system of educational institutions of secondary vocational education. The work discusses the problems and means of comprehensive training in marksmanship from an automatic rifle. Specifically, it covers the techniques of shooting in various exercises and conditions, principles, means, and methods of preparation, predicting the training outcome, modeling training and combat activities. The textbook addresses the issues and means of comprehensive training in marksmanship from an automatic rifle in conditions as close as possible to combat situations. The proposed manual examines the issues of modern training of riflemen at the stages of initial training, basic training, skill improvement, and specialized training. The manual pays great attention to the methodology of shooting at moving targets, rapid fire with fire transfer along the front and depth, aimed shooting while moving. It extensively discusses the tactics of evading enemy fire and the specifics of conducting intuitive shooting, means and methods of training a professional shooter. Special attention is paid to the methodology of training in marksmanship at night under various types of artificial lighting conditions and training in marksmanship by shooting at enemy flashes without using night vision devices. It complies with the modern requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of secondary vocational education and professional qualification requirements. The textbook is intended for teachers, cadets, and students in the system of educational institutions of secondary vocational education of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
