The wonderful story by the British writer Hugh Lofting (1920) 'The Story of Doctor Dolittle', which later inspired K.I. Chukovsky to write the famous "Doctor Aybolit" – is a kind, funny, informative story known all over the world. The best doctor, who treated people but loved animals very much and learned to understand their language, having received a letter from monkeys in Africa asking for help, without hesitation, set off on a journey full of amazing adventures and encounters. This book is about the fact that the strong should help the weak, that one should never despair and give up, because there is always a way out of any situation, the main thing is to have a kind heart and loyal friends. The story is published in a new translation and illustrated with cheerful drawings by Hugh Lofting.
