In his work "The Anatomy of Human Destructiveness," Erich Fromm focused on studying the essence of evil, noting that this book is in some sense the opposite of another, perhaps his most famous book - "The Art of Loving." Reflecting on the nature of evil, he concludes that the desire for power almost always turns into violence, and the main danger to humanity is not "sadists and monsters," but ordinary people who hold power in their hands. "The Revolution of Hope" is dedicated to the problems of modern technocratic society, which drags a person into an endless race of material production and maximum consumption, depriving them of spiritual guidance and the joy of existence. How can one preserve living human emotions and responsiveness in these conditions? What can and should everyone do to stop the impending dehumanization of society?
