This edition represents the most famous work of the German psychologist and physiologist, the founder of developmental psychology, Théodore William Preyer (1841–1897), which brought him wide recognition ("The Soul of the Child", 1882), in which he described observations of his son from birth to three years old. The book is distinguished by a strictly scientific approach and covers the stages of development of sensory organs, motor skills, will, thinking, and speech in a child. This work by T.W.
