"Bhagavad - Gita", or "Song of the Lord", consists of 18 chapters in which Krishna develops the idea of duty and reveals the meaning of spiritual feat. This is part of the great poem of "Mahabharata", the story of the Great War. It sets out the history of the glorious kind of descendants of the powerful king Bharata, the son of the shameanta and Sakuntala, whose history is poetically told in the famous drama of Kalidas. “Among the invaluable teachings scattered in the great Indian poem "Mahabharata", there is no more rare and precious than the "song of the Lord". Since she flew off the divine mouth of Sri Krishna on the battlefield and quenched the grief of his student and friend, she strengthened and comforted many tormented and tired souls. Its goal is to raise the one who is looking for the spiritual path, from the lower steps to the highest steps of the renunciation, where the desires die and where the yogi is in quiet and continuous contemplation, while his body and mind are actively occupied by the fulfillment of duty. The central lesson of the Bhagavad - GITS is that a spiritual person may not be a hermit, and unity with a divine life can occur and continue among worldly activities, since the obstacles to merging do not lie outside of us, but in ourselves. ” The translators "Bhagavad - Gita" set themselves the task of holding the original as close as possible and convey the mood of the poem, not losing sight of its artistic form. Therefore, the text preserves the majority of Sanskrit terms and epithets, the necessary explanations to which are given in the notes
