"The Snow Queen" is one of the most famous fairy tales in the world, inspiring many artists. When you hear its name, you involuntarily imagine an ancient Danish town on the eve of Christmas, snow falling, the Snow Queen's sleigh carrying Kay to the North Pole... All of this is a well-established illustrative canon. However, the artist Anton Lomaev offers his own vision of the famous fairy tale, transferring its action to the 20th century. This century - complex, terrible, and beautiful - has become a test of strength for many things that seemed unshakable to people. In this refraction, Andersen's fairy tale sounds completely different, making the reader look anew at the familiar plot. And to realize that it does not lose its relevance, enchanting the reader with the captivating words of the great storyteller, narrating about enduring values - faith, hope, and love.
