The novel takes place in the sixties of the XIX century in the city of hero Sevastopol. Several years have passed since the Crimean War ended.
The main character, Kolka Lazunov is an orphan and lives with his aunt. He wants to become a sailor and see distant countries. But the path to the cherished dream becomes complex and thorny: in St. Petersburg, in the Marine Cadet Corps, Kolka is faced with severe military discipline and rudeness of comrades.
Once in Sevastopol, Kolka finds real friends and goes with them in search of a lost treasure from the legendary Macedonian ship. The search for a treasure is not only a fun adventure, but also a test of yourself.
