What is the evolution of consciousness? In Latin, "evolutio" means unfolding. How does the evolution and expansion of consciousness occur? According to what laws? Under what conditions? The first part of the book is dedicated to the state of Nigredo, and the second part to the state of Albedo. Nigredo is associated with a hypnotic sleep, while Albedo is associated with awakening.
