Based on the analysis of the existing literary and obtained with the participation of the experimental data on the self-burning of metals and alloys in oxygen-containing environments, a possible mechanism for the ignition of metallic materials is proposed during destruction with an explanation of the unique ability to self-burning titanium and its alloys. The possibility of reliable and safe operation of titanium equipment in the processes of autoclave leaching of non-ferrous metals using gaseous oxygen is discussed.
The monograph is intended for employees of research institutes and engineering and technical workers of non-ferrous metallurgy enterprises, as well as students, masters and graduate students of the metallurgical departments of technical universities
