The book is the fourteenth volume in a series dedicated to the White Movement in Russia, covering the events of the first months of the history of the Russian Army after the evacuation from Novorossiysk and Odessa to Crimea by part of the Armed Forces in the South of Russia (March-August 1920). The book provides a detailed account of the complex process of transferring command of the Armed Forces of South Russia from General A.I. Denikin to General P.N. Wrangel. It describes in detail the actions of the new command in rebuilding a combat-ready army and its morale, transitioning to a counteroffensive, and conducting military operations in Northern Taurida and Kuban. These and subsequent actions allowed the White forces to successfully conclude the 3-year Civil War and go into exile with their heads held high. "Glory to the defeated!" - these are the words that conclude one of the fragments of this book. The book is supplemented with extensive and previously unpublished comments containing several hundred unknown biographical references about the authors and heroes of the essays.
