Friedrich August von Hayek (1899-1992) was one of the greatest philosophers and economists of the 20th century, and a Nobel Prize laureate in economics. "The Road to Serfdom" is a key work by Friedrich August von Hayek, in which the great scholar not only convincingly and justly criticizes socialist ideology and economics, but also proves the inevitability of socialist governments turning into totalitarian dictatorships. According to Hayek, the reasons for the barbarism and violence of totalitarian regimes should be sought in the implementation of state intervention in the market economy, ultimately leading to the suppression and violation of the principles of the rule of law and personal rights.
