The new book "The Return of the Pelican" is a magical story, with the main characters being the Chukchi deity Pelican, the raven Kuth, the ancestor of the Koryaks, Itelmen, and some other peoples of the Russian Far East, animals, and people: children and adults. The plot unfolds amidst the unique and beautiful nature of Kamchatka, as well as in the capital of the region, the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Pelican finds himself deprived of memories of who he is and what his purpose in this world is under rather strange circumstances. Modern fifth graders Andrey and Nastya help him in his search for himself, while also learning a lot of new things about their native land and starting to think about the place and destiny of humans on Earth.
