The Psalter is one of the greatest religious books in the world. However, in addition to its religious themes, it also touches upon universal world culture, serving as a treasure trove of human wisdom. In this edition, the sacred psalms are supplemented with excerpts from the interpretations of the famous Byzantine theologian and exegete of the 11th-12th centuries, Euthymius Zigabenus. Furthermore, the edition includes: prayers before and after reading the Psalter (including for each kathisma), a canon for the deceased, rules for reading the Psalter for the deceased, the cell rule of St. Seraphim of Sarov, the service of singing the 12 psalms, instructions on the order of reading the psalms for various needs, and a brief explanatory dictionary.
