The problem of evil is one of the oldest philosophical problems and at the same time one of the most debated in contemporary philosophy of religion. The authors have focused their efforts on the movement towards the ontologization of evil, on the advancement of new moral principles based on the 'ethics after Auschwitz'. In the collective monograph, various aspects of the problem of evil and theodicy are considered in the context of contemporary philosophy of religion and theology, as well as the history of philosophy. The reader is offered an extensive 'map' of the problem of evil and an analytical discussion of its main solutions. The historical and conceptual foundations of the problem of evil are critically examined in relation to theodicy. The existential-phenomenological dimension of the problem of evil and its role in the spiritual life of modern man is presented, showing the historical-philosophical significance of the problem of evil and theodicy in the context of current issues in contemporary culture. The book is of interest not only to philosophers of religion but also to a wide audience.
