The strong but hypocritically concealed desire to rehabilitate fascism in the NATO bloc countries and its allies, accompanied by growing aggressiveness, is supported by powerful propaganda and academic structures. The gradual justification of Nazis, starting from the Wehrmacht and ending with the glorification of Hitler's protégés like A. Pavelic and S. Bandera - it would be awkward not to rehabilitate their masters, B. Mussolini and A. Hitler, who seem like vegetarians compared to the completely dehumanized leaders of the OUN-UPA and Croatian Ustashe - requires a return to the consideration of events almost a century ago. Saïd Gafurov, a history of diplomacy professor at the Maurice Thorez Moscow State Linguistic University and a prominent orientalist, argues that the non-aggression pact signed on August 23, 1939 between Germany and the Soviet Union, which became not only a crucial element of foreign policy but also one of the key factors in the USSR's internal policy in 1989 when the Congress of People's Deputies of the USSR adopted a resolution condemning the signing of the secret additional protocol to the pact, was actually a brilliant success of Soviet diplomacy.
