This collection includes works written by Annie Besant (1847–1933) - a talented writer, president of the Theosophical Society, a disciple and follower of H.P. Blavatsky: 1) "The Doctrine of the Heart" (printed from the edition of the Russian Theosophical Society. St. Petersburg, 1914), 2) "The Path of Discipleship. Five lectures delivered in Adyar in 1895" (translated from English by A.A. Kamenskaya (1867–1952)), 3) "The Path to Devotion" and 4) "The Perfect Man". These works tell about the long and difficult path of ascent of disciples to spiritual heights.
