The textbook offers the scientific development of the space of modern Russian prose by the methods and rhetorical technologies of literary criticism. To help the reader - laconicism in the study of key ideological and artistic models, permissible emotionality in determining the ethical potential, the paradox of historiosophical judgments with the necessary actualization of texts. The main material is Russian novels published in 2012-2013. An analysis of the forty of the latest works is not an end in itself, but a way to identify the constant of the literary process of our days. It unfolds a positive conflict of "new realism" ("life instead of fate") and "new modernism" ("fate instead of life"), insisting on a different plot ratio of the everyday existence of a person and an idea capable of covering his path. The book calls for writers, literary critics, critics and all interested readers to know modern literature as a "epic of the New Age", within which important meetings with non -existence are the main temptation of the era, intuition, felt by many masters of literature of the 21st century.
