How did the socio-economic system of the Soviet type develop? What contradictions did it have to overcome, what obstacles did it face? The answers to these questions determine the understanding of how and thanks to what the most impressive achievements of the USSR were achieved: industrialization of the country, victory over Nazi aggression, conquering space... Similarly, the answers to these questions help to understand why the established system was burdened with deep problems, the unresolved nature of which led to the crisis and collapse of the Soviet system. What was the nature of the Great Russian Revolution, did it lead to the formation of a socialist society? What lessons should be learned from the demise of the Soviet system in order for the new movement towards socialism to avoid the mistakes that were made? These questions also concern many people, and the author has tried to provide reasoned answers to them to the best of his abilities.
