Outside of what our five senses give us - outside our sensations - there is an amazing world in which we live, and about which we know too little. But much of what is available to us often remains beyond our attention.
The purpose of the book is at least a little replenish this gap. So, for example, it refers to the vital physical fields that surround us, it shows that plants are the same living beings as you and I are able to feel the pain, joy and fear of death, that the water we drink , able to perceive, store and transmit information to us that we are not alone on Earth, and do not always use it correctly.
The book refers to some of those processes that create an environmental crisis that occurs these days. So, global pollution of sources of fresh water on Earth creates a serious threat to the health of mankind, the life of entire regions. No wonder the UN General Assembly proclaimed the period from 2005 to 2015 by the international decade of actions "Water for Life". Already today, the income of world companies selling bottled drinking water is forty percent of the income brought by oil trade. Soon it will be more profitable to trade in water than to trade in oil. Planet Earth is a single living organism, permeated with many information, energy and material relations. The advancing global warming causes restructuring for the centuries of established atmospheric processes that change the climate, the harbingers of which are drought, floods, hurricanes, unexpected frosts.
Atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere and biosphere are closely interconnected. The lithosphere responds to a change in its activity: earthquakes, tsunami, volcanic eruptions. We live in a rapidly changing world, which begins to throw all new "gifts", and it would be nice to know what we should expect from our house "Earth" as a result of what we do with this house
