Alexander Maccall Smith is the author of the Romanov series about Mma Rotamot and its detective agency, an insightful and charming woman who wants to "help people and solve their problems". The adventures of MMA Ramotweight are translated into 34 languages and become bestsellers in many countries.
As in the two previous novels from the series about a female detective agency, the author rather explores the characters of his heroes than forces them to solve criminal challenges. With softness and sympathy, he addresses such topics as married jealousy and mental health.
Agency MMA Rotamil is in cramped circumstances, and because Mma Rotamot and her bridegroom, Mister Maetechi, decide to combine the automotive workshop and a detective agency under one roof. Mr. Maetechi does not feel very well, but refuses to go to the doctor, and Mma Rotamywe suspects that he has depressed. She asks Mma Stlikovan, to which her groom belongs to the greatest revelation, to take him to a doctor while she herself goes outside the city to investigate the circumstances of poisoning. Meanwhile, her assistant and secretary MMA Makutsi is brilliantly managed with a workshop, and with a detective agency. In the absence of MMA Rotamot, she is engaged in an unusual affair - is investigating how virtuous actually participants in the beauty contest
