The book of the largest Russian philosopher of the first half of the twentieth century Nikolai Berdyaev included lectures on the main problems of the religious philosophy of history, read during the winter of 1919/20. at the Academy of Spiritual Culture.
“Building a religious philosophy of history is apparently a vocation of Russian philosophical thought. An original Russian thought is addressed to the eschatological problem of the end, it is painted apocalyptic. This is the difference from the thought of the West. But this gives it primarily the nature of the religious philosophy of history. I have always been especially interested in the problems of the philosophy of history. World War and Revolution aggravated this interest and directed my classes mainly in this direction ”(N. Berdyaev)
