This book is essentially a Mazilov mini-chronicle - a collection of the author's personal childhood and youth impressions, historical information from various open sources, as well as works of fiction - stories, tales, and novellas. Their plots have their roots in Mazilovo: either events took place there, or the characters are 'from' there. Some of them are real people who lived in this Moscow district in the second half of the last century, while others are fictional characters. Or rather, they are generalized - having their prototypes. Nevertheless, in the literary works of the collection, any coincidences with reality are purely coincidental. As for the Moscow-related notes, they correspond to their genre. In them, the author acts as a local historian and describes Mazilovo as he saw it in his childhood and youth, half a century ago.
