“Master and Margarita” is an immortal, mysterious and witty work of Mikhail Bulgakov - the main novel of his life. What could I write after the Master ... ? - The author admits to himself shortly before his death. Published in the mid-1960s, “Master ...” struck readers with the unusual plan, colorfulness and fantastic action, uniting heroes of different eras and cultures. The religious-historical mystery, dating back to the legend of the crucified Christ, and the supernatural scenes with characters embodied some dark power, are woven in it,-the 1920-1930s are woven and shrouded in the Moscow “Buffonad”. In the new anniversary edition, the immortal novel is presented in its last lifetime author’s edition (manuscripts are stored in the manuscript department of the USSR State Library named after V.I. Lenin), as well as with corrections and additions made under the dictation of the writer his wife, Elena Sergeyevna Bulgakova.
