The first poetic anthology of Russian Joanistics includes works by Russian artists of the 19th-21st centuries, starting with the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. Many of them are well-known - such as Vasily Zhukovsky, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Apollon Maykov, Marina Tsvetaeva, Velimir Khlebnikov, and others.
However, among the participants of the anthology, there are also lesser-known authors. One of them is Princess Zinaida Volkonskaya - a poetess, singer, composer, who created the first Russian opera dedicated to Joan of Arc. The libretto of this composition is published in the anthology. Contemporary poets from different cities and regions of Russia - Moscow, St. Petersburg, Stavropol, Samara, and Donbass, where the line of confrontation between light and darkness, good and evil is drawn today, where the legendary image of the holy virgin calls for a decisive battle, to a great victory, crown the poetic selection.
The second part of the collection consists of articles and essays by poets, writers, and scholars from St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Tartu (Estonia), dedicated to the works of some poets - participants of the anthology. The collection is concluded by an essay by the remarkable French poet, artist, sculptor Boris Lejeune, which tells the story of the creation of the monument to Joan of Arc, recently installed in St. Petersburg.
