Currently, intramedullar osteosynthesis (intramedullary string) is rightly recognized as a gold standard for the treatment of bone diaphysar fractures. The logic of intracredullar string is that any method of osteosynthesis by any pins is based on the immersion of the structure into the intramedullary channel of the tubular bone, if necessary, with blocking the pin with screws. Thus, the main objectives of osteosynthesis are achieved: an anatomical reposition of bone fragments, stable internal fixation, preservation of inter-lodge blood supply, early functional load after surgery. This monograph is a logically consecutive guide to the use of intramedullary pins by orthopedic traumatologists in various fields of intramedullary osteosynthesis. Various methods of intramedullary arthrodesis are presented. The author also considers clinical issues of intramedullary stripping. A separate item has allocated a section on errors and complications of intramedullary strip. Attention is paid to the organizational issues of osteosynthesis.
