The work is devoted to the problem of lexical borrowings in the Russian language and word -formation processes based on foreign language vocabulary.
The first part of the work is a historical outline of the appearance of words with Latin roots in Russian from X to XX centuries. The second part presents Latin words that underlie Russian derivatives, and derivatives are given from these Latin roots in intermediary languages. The third part contains an alphabetical list of Russian derivatives, the time of the first fixation of these words is indicated with reference to the dating source.
The work is intended for teachers of the Russian language, philologists of various profiles and all who are interested in the etymology and vocabulary of the Russian language
