The second deck in the 'Heritage' series, 'Newest Fortune-Telling Cards', was released in 1825. It is a complete replica of the French fortune-telling cards from 1791: it is possible that the deck arrived in Russia during the times of the French Revolution with aristocrats fleeing from France immediately after its creation, or it was brought from Paris as a trophy of the 1812 war. The instruction for this deck was written with great care and love by Evgenia Ustinova - a researcher, a specialist in the history of pre-revolutionary Russian fortune-telling and playing cards. 42 cards + instruction.
