In 1393, the last ruler of the Armenian kingdom of Kilicia Levon V was died in Paris. With the death of the last Armenian king, the descendant of the Lusignan dynasty from Poitu, the extraordinary epic of the Armenian history in length in three centuries ended.
Even before the first crusade in the northeastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea, Armenians were set to create a state here. Protected by impressive fortresses, the ruins of which continue to hit the imagination of travelers, this state existed for many years even after the disappearance of the Latin presence in Levante. Thanks to its own policy based on an effective game of alliances, this state was able to create a unique culture and become a vital center of the mutual influence of the West and the East, as evidenced by the enthusiastic narration of Marco Polo. Therefore, this last kingdom of Armenia cannot be considered only as part of the Christian world, which has not become a political essence. Almost nine centuries, crusades were served by us only from a western point of view, sometimes modified by the Byzantine component. But more recently, the study of the works of Arab and Persian authors opened the significance of another vision. It is time to adequately evaluate the neglectful role that Eastern Christians played, and especially Armenians
