Each new book by Valery Popov is surprising. His creative style, which allows him to derive a grand ironic generalization from seemingly ordinary events, is recognizable from the first presentation. In the novella "Composing Life," the author shows us that fate is invariably favorable to a person who composes their own life - you just have to passionately desire it, and everything will be as you wish. And not at the expense of others, but only for the benefit. The second novella, "The Last Insane Generation," is written in the genre of anti-utopia. But in Popov's case, the anti-utopia does not oppress the reader with the hopelessness of the situation; rather, he has created an "anti-anti-utopia." The characters do not want to part with their passions and weaknesses, although, as it turns out in the end, they all... However, let's not spoil the ending for the reader prematurely.
