The monograph is dedicated to the image of a Jew in the Slavic book and folk tradition. On the basis of historical and folklore-ethnographic sources, the authors consider such concepts as the “Jewish people "," Jewish faith "," Jewish customs", etc. that were formed in the folklore and books of the Slavic peoples based on the whole complex of ethnocultural stereotypes. The study is based on authentic material assembled in Russian and foreign archives and during field examination in the regions that were part of the settled settlement (Western regions of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Eastern Poland)
