“Rebbe House” (Beit Rabbi) is the most important of books on the initial stage of the history of the Khabad movement. Naturally, in the center of the narrative, as the name implies, the biographies of the first three chapters of this direction in Hasidism - r. Schneura Zalman from Lyad (Old Rebbe), his son-p. Dov-bero from Lyubavich (Middle Rebbe) and grandson-p. Menahya-Mendla (zemi of the zedek) Author, p. Haim-Meir Gelman, for fourteen years, collected unique documents and exclusive, as we would say today, evidence (many first-hand), thanks to which he was able to offer the reader a sufficiently complete and truly deep picture of the described period. The special advantage of the book is that it allows you to look at the history of Hasidism through the eyes of Hasid, not burdened with hostility and bias to the subject of its study, unlike almost all academic researchers who wrote on the same topic.
