“Red Horse” is the continuation of the novel “Hops” and the second part of the famous trilogy of Alexei Cherkasov “Tales of Taiga People”, created by him in collaboration with his wife Polina Moskvitina. The novel was written in 1972 - later than other books of the trilogy, and is dedicated to violent events of the Civil War.
Siberia is covered by white terror, and even the adamant Old Believers failed to stay away from political events: white Elan was divided into two camps, excited by the rapid run of formidable and inexorable time. “Time is not a horse, you won’t go around, you won’t get away-flies and fuses, but where? And how will it be there tomorrow, the day after tomorrow? Failure or health? The bustle time will drag it to good or worse?
The need to choose its own path is also facing the main character of the novel - the Cossack coroneting swan, nicknamed the Kh red horse, whose actions are led by an unshakable faith in the triumph of good and justice: “Nobody will overthrow my conscience. And honor. On that all the white light stands. ”
