A textbook on the history of English is based on an interdisciplinary approach to the study and description of the history of language processes. The author considers linguistic changes in the final and whole -wing nature in the context of the ethnocultural history of communities of native speakers. The implementation and development of this project is carried out on the basis of the Department of History and Typology of Languages and Cultures of Novosibirsk State University in cooperation with the Institute of Philology of the SB RAS.
