The famous French archaeologist Jacques de Morgan explores the history of the Armenian people from ancient times to the first quarter of the twentieth century. Morgan’s work is interesting primarily in that it is quoted by little -known and not translated sources, and is distinguished by a vivid image of dramatic events experienced by the Armenian people. The author represents the history of wars in which, one way or another, the Armenians participated, and the gallery of portraits of the kings who ruled them. Morgan pays special attention to the cultural life of the people. On how writing, literature, visual arts, crafts, music, theater, calling the names of those who played an important role in a particular activity were born and developed.
