The famous French archaeologist Jacques de Morgan explores the history of the Armenian people from ancient times to the first quarter of the twentieth century. Morgan’s work is interesting primarily by the fact that little -known and not translated sources are quoted in it, and is distinguished by a vivid image of dramatic events experienced by the Armenian people. The author represents the history of wars in which, one way or another, the Armenians participated, and the gallery of portraits of the kings who ruled them. Morgan pays special attention to the cultural life of the people.
